Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy or counselling in East London: Dalston, Hackney, Leyton, and Walthamstow.

Do you want time and space to talk?

Anxiety, depression, and stress are increasingly common problems in today's complex world. My name is Dr Laura Chernaik; I offer open-ended psychoanalytical psychotherapy addressed to the individual client. This can be once-weekly or more than once a week. I also have places available for 12 weeks of counselling focusing on a particular issue. justEmail Contact Form

Psychoanalytical psychotherapy is a mixture of two processes. Analysis focuses on listening and questioning; it is a thoughtful way to explore what it is that you desire. It can open up a space for change. Therapy is care: the therapeutic aspects of the work. Every psychoanalytical psychotherapy is unique, a mixture of analytic and therapeutic processes. It can open up possibilities; it can help you find stability and a way of living with....

As we work together, something unpredictable and unknowable happens.

There isn't always a clear distinction between the 12 weeks of counselling and the start of a long-term psychoanalytical psychotherapy. An interest in open-ended psychotherapy or psychoanalysis can arise at any point during the counselling or after. Please get in touch if you've tried counselling and would like something longer term. Or, if you think what you want is something short-term and focused on a particular issue, please contact me. justEmail Contact Form

It's rare to be truly listened to, and that's what psychoanalysis offers --a chance to be heard, a chance to explore questions that mean a lot to you. What is important to you? What do you think and feel? What do your ideas and feelings mean to you?

I offer free 15 minute phone appointments for people considering psychotherapy. If you are considering psychotherapy and you'd like to talk for 15 minutes, please email me on laura.chernaik@gmail.com or phone 07947 330 631 to book a free 15 minute phone appointment. JustEmail Contact Form
