Psychoanalysis (sessions 2-5 times a week, depending on the individual) is a practice based on talking and listening. What is the motivating force for change? Can it be love and a desire for knowledge?
Psychoanalysis can be profoundly joyful and deeply painful. It is not goal oriented. The therapeutic effect happens as part of the process. As you talk freely, the unconscious opens and closes in a remarkable way. It is this that allows us, together, to find new ways of thinking about life and for you to to tell your story, whatever that may be. Change is painful, yet, paradoxically, in analysis there is a great deal of joy.
I also offer once-a-week therapy or counselling; either open-ended or a short course of 12 weeks focusing on a specific issue. Justplease contact me
